Welcome to YWAM England Safeguarding
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
We take very seriously our role to implement safeguarding practices in our YWAM locations across England in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk in our care and those accessing our services.
“Safeguarding refers to the process of protecting children and adults, to provide safe and effective care. This includes all procedures designed to prevent harm to a child.” (NSPCC)
Child Protection forms one aspect of Safeguarding, which seeks to:
“Protect individual children identified as suffering or likely to suffer significant harm. This includes the child protection procedures which detail how to respond to concerns about a child.”
